Forest River Cherokee Wolf Pup travel trailers are designed for campers who want a smaller, more manageable RV without giving up practical living space and everyday camping features.
The Wolf Pup lineup includes compact travel trailers with a variety of layouts for couples, small families, first-time RV owners, and campers who want to keep overall trailer size and weight more manageable.
Depending on the floorplan, Wolf Pup models may include bunks, private sleeping areas, dinettes, slide-outs, full bathrooms, kitchens, and exterior storage while maintaining a relatively compact footprint.
Who Is Cherokee Wolf Pup Designed For?
Cherokee Wolf Pup is a good fit for shoppers who want the convenience of a travel trailer without necessarily moving into a larger RV.
The lineup can work well for:
- Couples looking for a compact camper
- Small families needing additional sleeping space
- First-time RV buyers
- Weekend campers
- Travelers who prefer a shorter trailer
- Buyers looking for a wider range of tow-vehicle options
- Campers who want easier storage and campsite maneuverability
Different Wolf Pup floorplans emphasize different priorities, so shoppers can choose between bunkhouse layouts, couples-oriented arrangements, and models that focus more heavily on living or kitchen space.
How to Compare Cherokee Wolf Pup Floorplans
Because Wolf Pup models are designed to make efficient use of a smaller footprint, floorplan layout can make a significant difference in how each trailer feels and functions.
When comparing Wolf Pup models, consider:
- Overall length
- Dry weight and GVWR
- Cargo carrying capacity
- Sleeping capacity
- Bed size and configuration
- Bunk arrangements
- Slide-out configuration
- Kitchen layout
- Bathroom design
- Refrigerator size
- Interior and exterior storage
- Fresh, gray, and black water capacity
- Tow vehicle compatibility
The best Wolf Pup floorplan depends on how many people will regularly travel in the RV, how much interior space you need, and what type of camping you plan to do.
Compact Size With Practical Living Space
One of the defining characteristics of the Cherokee Wolf Pup lineup is the way its floorplans use available space.
Rather than simply shrinking a larger travel trailer layout, individual Wolf Pup models are arranged around specific camping needs. Some emphasize sleeping capacity, while others prioritize kitchen space, bathrooms, seating, or storage.
That gives shoppers several options within the same compact-travel-trailer family instead of forcing every buyer into the same basic layout.
Explore the Cherokee Wolf Pup Lineup
Cherokee Wolf Pup offers multiple floorplan styles within the Cherokee family.
Some models are designed around family camping and bunk sleeping, while others are better suited to couples or travelers who place greater importance on kitchen space, bathroom layout, or overall interior room.
Reviewing the dimensions, weights, capacities, and layout of each model is the best way to determine which Wolf Pup fits your camping style.

Additional 2027 Wolf Pup Changes
Forest River also lists several smaller changes for the 2027 model year.
Electric scissor/stabilizer jacks have been replaced with manual scissor jacks, which Forest River states are intended to provide greater stability.
The ottoman and Wolfie Light have also been removed from the applicable 2027 lineup.
Important Note About Wolf Pup LP Models
Forest River specifically states that the published 2027 changes in this dealer guide do not include LP models.
For that reason, features such as Camp Command, Starlink prep, updated decor, blackout window coverings, upgraded bunk mattresses, or other 2027 changes should not automatically be assumed to be included on a Wolf Pup LP.
Equipment should be verified using the individual model or unit specifications.
