An RV isn’t a stationary house. It’s constantly experiencing vibration, twisting and movement while traveling down the highway. Rounded corners eliminate the sharp 90-degree corner geometry found in a square opening and have a long history of use in vehicle and RV construction.
That doesn’t mean a square-window RV is inherently defective or unsafe. It’s simply a design area where we prefer the traditional radius approach for a product that’s going to spend its life traveling down the road.
Look Beyond the Badge
This is where comparison shopping becomes important.
If two trailers share very similar floorplans, construction and features, ask yourself:
What am I actually getting for my money?
Don’t compare only MSRP or the size of the advertised discount. Compare the actual selling price and total purchase price, including dealer-added charges.
Look at:

- Dealer preparation or PDI fees
- Documentation and other dealer fees
- Included equipment and options
- Warranty coverage
- Dealer service after the sale
A trailer advertised with a large discount isn’t necessarily the better deal if additional charges are added to the transaction.
